Fiends of the Far East! 1966. On the eve of the Vietnam War, a Halloween party on an American airbase in Japan gets some lethal gatecrashers. Real-life ghouls and demons blend in with the costumed crowd, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Only Saya, a girl with a deadly secret and a deadlier weapon, stands a chance of stopping them. Based on an idea by Mamoru Oshii (Avalon), directed by Hiroyuki Kitakubo (Roujin Z) from a script by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex), Blood: The Last Vampire showcases some the best in digital animation from Japanese powerhouse Production IG, and is a precursor to the studio’s acclaimed work on Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill. Featuring the voice of Youki Kudoh (Memoirs of a Geisha) as Saya.
